  • Liz Baldwin, BS, PT

    Physical Therapist

    Liz graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She began working at Little Red School House in 1988. She has completed many continuing education courses, including training at the University of Washington EEU and a variety of neurodevelopment, sensory integration, and DIR Floortime courses. She completed an NDT pediatric certification course in 1996. Liz and her husband, Bob, have 4 children - son, Chris and daughters Erin, Katie and Brianna. Liz enjoys family activities, cooking, gardening and singing with her church choir.

  • Jaeyoun Bang, MSW

    Social Worker

    Jaeyoun graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Washington and obtained her Masters of Social work from Smith College. Jaeyoun joined the Little Red School House in March of 2010 to fulfill her dream of working with infants, toddlers, and their family. Her previous clinical experience was working in the mental health field. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.

  • Esther Baughn

    Office Manager - Lynnwood

    Esther has worked for Little Red School House since December, 1998. Her first career was as a "stay at home mom". She now enjoys office work and serving the staff to make their jobs a little less hectic. Esther enjoys her family which now includes four granddaughters and road trips with her husband.

  • Lana Balan, M.Ed.

    Early Childhood Special Educator, Family Resource Coordinator

    Lana graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1990, with a Bachelor of Science as a Teacher of the Deaf, Grades K-12.  She went on to teach a Preschool Handicap Program before moving to California to begin working in the HOPE Infant Family Support Early Intervention Program.  Lana accompanied her husband to Japan, where she spearheaded the establishment of the Early Intervention Program for Military Families at the Atsugi Naval Air Station.  Upon her return to the United States, Lana attended the George Washington University, where she earned her Master of Education in Infant Special Education.  Lana completed her Master’s Internship in the Neurodevelopmental Clinic at Children’s National Medical Center, in Washington DC, and has studied Brain Research in Education at the University of Washington.  She worked for Little Red School House from 2001-2003, then again from 2009 to present.  Lana and her husband Gavin have three daughters – Maggie, Ella and Holly.  She is an avid swimmer and enjoys walking, hiking, and camping.

  • Peg Blanchard, BS, OTR/L, ESA

    Occupational Therapist & Special Projects

    Peg received her BS in Occupational Therapy from the University of Puget Sound in 1970. Her vast work experiences includes the Veterans' Hospital, medical settings and developmental centers in California and Washington. She has worked with disabled people of all ages, but has focused her training and teaching on early intervention. Peg has worked in a variety of roles at Little Red since 1976, including as an occupational therapist, a therapy coordinator, site manager and intake coordinator. Peg has received specialized training in Developmental Disabilities, Sensory Integration, Neurodevelopmental Treatment (infant and pediatric), Infant Massage, Vision impairment, Autism, Natural Environments and Parent Coaching.

  • Dave Calhoun, M.Ed.

    Educator

    Dave completed his Master of Education - Early Childhood Special Education at the University of Washington in June 2009 and has worked at Little Red School House since then. He has taught in many settings including early intervention, ECEAP preschool, kindergarten, and individual home-based therapy for children with autism. Dave enjoys spending time with his family and working on his house.

  • Terry Clark, M.Ed.

    Executive Director

    Terry has worked in public and not-for-profit organizations for almost 30 years as a special education teacher, counselor of preschoolers and their families, and non-profit administrator. Terry rejoined Little Red School House as Executive Director in October 2008, but has worked with Little Red in the past as Family Counselor and most recently as Managing Director. Terry holds dual masters degrees in special education and counseling and has extensive experience in many areas of non-profit management. She is past chairperson of the Snohomish County Children's Commission and is still active in the Early Learning Committee of the Children's Commission. Terry received the Governor's Child Abuse Prevention Award in 1998. When she isn't working she loves to read, travel and spend time with her family.

  • Delores K. Cleveland, BS

    Educator

    Dede attended Washington State University and the University of Idaho, graduating with a BS in Elementary Education. She has worked at Little Red School House for 5 years. She has attended various workshops and continuing education classes dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Integration, DIR/Floortime, and Childhood Neurology. In her spare time, Dede enjoys outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

  • Mary Cline-Stively

    Program Director

    Mary started at Little Red School House in 2010.  As the program director she oversees the early intervention, outreach and counseling programs.  Prior to joining Little Red, Mary spent 5 years doing consulting work with non-profit human services organizations and 15 years working in a variety of capacities in the mental health system.  Mary holds a Bachelors degree in Rehabilitative Counseling and a Masters in Organizational Psychology.   Mary has two young girls and enjoys doing a variety of activities with them.

  • Elizabeth A.L. Clousing, MA, CCC-SLP

    Speech Language Pathologist, Team Lead

    Elizabeth has worked at Little Red School House since June, 2003. She received her B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and M.A. in Speech Language Pathology from Western Washington University. Elizabeth is a certified Hanen "It Takes Two to Talk" instructor. She has taken multiple continuing education courses on topics such as oral motor and motor speech disorders, PROMPT, DIR/Floortime, feeding, and autism spectrum disorder. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, participating in various outdoor activities, and traveling as much as possible.

  • Leah Cooper, BA

    Educator, Team Lead

    Leah has worked in the field of Early Childhood and Special Education for over 20 years, and has been at Little Red School House since 1998. She is especially satisfied working with children, families and caregivers to promote positive play and learning experiences, as well as rich and rewarding social interactions. Leah is the parent of a college aged daughter. When not at work, Leah enjoys a variety of creative pursuits, swimming and the outdoors.

  • Leanne Escamilla-Watkins

    Family Support Specialist

    Leanne began her career at Little Red School House in December 2006. Prior to her current position, Leanne worked in the classroom as an Educational Assistant up until August of 2008. Leanne's previous employment history includes 11 years work/educational experience working with children and families in the Mental Health field. Along with her commitment to children and families, Leanne shares her love of animals by volunteering her time at a local adoption center.

  • Nina Evers, Special Educator

    Outreach Team Lead

    Nina is a Washington State certificated Special Education Teacher with a B.S. in Education from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. For the past 15 years she has served children in a variety of settings and roles – as teacher, nonprofit professional, parent, and volunteer. She loves working with children and their families, because she’s been a stay at home mom herself and counts parenting as one of the hardest jobs and one of the greatest joys! Nina joined Little Red in February 2009. She is the Team Lead for Little Red’s Outreach program, which serves families and children through community partnerships with shelters, childcare facilities, early learning play groups and Tulalip. In her spare time, she is honing her chauffeuring skills for her now teenage son, Henry.

  • Carol Good, MSW

    Director of Counseling Services

    Carol has almost 20 years experience working in the mental health field. Her first few years of work were spent in a children's residential treatment facility in Helena, Montana. She moved to the Everett area in 1992. She received her graduate training in Social Work from the University of Washington and graduated in 2007. Most of her clinical work has focused on working with families with children under age six with significant social/emotional delays. She joined Little Red School House in June of 2006 as a counselor and a social work intern. She now manages the counseling department and outreach services in Everett and Marysville.

  • Susan Hanson, BS

    Team Family Resource Coordinator

    Susan has worked at Little Red School House since December, 2005. She received her BS in Elementary Education from the University of North Dakota in 1982. Susan started with Little Red School House working as the Intake Assistant and office receptionist. She enjoys spending time with her husband and young adult daughters. She enjoys camping, hiking and quilting.

  • Susan Jelovich

    Billing Manager

    Susan started at Little Red in April, 2004. As the Billing Manager, she facilitates all of the internal paperwork related to the Snohomish County Developmental Disabilities, health insurance companies, and local school districts. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, likes to read and travel, and is currently learning to quilt.

  • Peggy Jude

    Office Administration Manager

    Peggy started with Little Red in September of 2006 and manages accounts payable and receivable, and oversees all of the administrative aspects of Human Resources. Before coming to Little Red, Peggy spent 25 working as an administrator for a national corporation. She spends her free time with her new granddaughter and family.

  • Barbra Keil

    Office Manager - Everett

    Barbra has worked at Little Red School House since August, 2007. Her previous work experience includes being the Attendance/Discipline Secretary for Everett High School for 7 years. Barbra graduated from Bryman College for Medical Assisting in 2006. Barbra enjoys traveling, watching hockey and spending time with her husband, son and daughter.

  • Florence J. King

    Director of Administrative Services

    Florence has been on staff at Little Red School House since 2003. Her education and career experience has been devoted to business management in the health care industry. Her work experience includes customer service manager for a large health insurance company, office manager for a privately practicing child and family psychologist, and medical records manager for a long term care facility. Increasing her involvement in the business office functions of Little Red School House over the years, Flo has become directly involved in analyzing and implementing effective and efficient business office procedures. In her role as Director of Administrative Services, Mrs. King oversees the business operations of the agency.

  • Robert J. King

    Facilities Manager

    Bob has been on staff at Little Red School House since 2003. His education and career experience has centered around the telecommunications industry. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, specializing in interior communications, Bob worked over 34 years as a central office technician for a major telecommunications company. He has also been self-employed as a landlord and maintenance technician, which has allowed him to interface his hobbies with his skills in electrical, mechanical and carpentry projects. At Little Red, Bob manages the day-to-day operations of our buildings. In addition, he oversees services by vendors and coordinates special facilities projects by volunteer groups. His talents and abilities in problem-solving building-related issues, spanning from the simple to the complex, makes him an effective, efficient and highly valuable Little Red team member.

  • Rosmarie Kramer, MOTR/L

    Occupational Therapist

    Rosie received her BA in Humanities/Art History with a minor in horticulture from Brigham Young University. In 2006, Rosie graduated with Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of Washington. Prior to starting at Little Red School House in 2007, Rosie completed a fieldwork clinical in Physical Disabilities, with a focus on patients with neurological conditions, and another clinical fieldwork in Pediatrics, with a focus on infants and toddlers. Areas of continued study and interest are in Neuro-Development treatment, Sensory integration dysfunction and treatment, DIR Floortime approach to treatment, Promoting First Relationships curriculum, and feeding therapy.

  • Nancy L. Lay, BS

    Educator

    Nancy has worked at Little Red School House since 2003. She has a degree in Early Childhood Special Education and Learning Disabilities from Eastern Illinois University. She has taught special education at many age levels, including over 10 years as a Developmental Preschool teacher. Besides providing parent coaching and early intervention services for families in homes and childcare settings, she also co-leads socialization groups in collaboration with Early Head Start. Nancy has had specialized training in a variety of subjects including autism, language facilitation, and Promoting First Relationships, a program developed by the University of Washington which emphasizes the parent child relationship as key to helping young children reach their potential. In her spare time she enjoys reading, travel, and spending time with family and friends.

  • April Nelson, MS, OTR/L

    Occupational Therapist

    April received her BA in Psychology and Scandinavian Studies from Luther College, and a MS in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University. April has worked at the Little Red School House since 2004. Her previous work experience was in Illinois, working in early intervention and geriatrics. April enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves to water ski.

  • Jacqueline Oh, MA, CCC-SLP

    Speech Language Pathologist, Team Lead

    Jackie graduated with Bachelor of Sciences in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Arizona and obtained her Masters of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Washington University. With over 10 years of experience in the field of early intervention and special education, her career began as a teacher and is presently a Lead Speech-Language Pathologist. Jackie is a certified Hanen instructor for "It Takes Two to Talk" and "More than Words" programs. Her advanced training and continuing education include DIR/Floortime, pediatric feeding, oral-motor, PROMPT, SCERTS model and intervention of autism spectrum disorders. Jackie has worked at Little Red School House as a Speech-Language Pathologist since August, 1999. A mother of a precocious 4-year old daughter, Jackie enjoys photography, spending time with her family and friends as well as trying new places to eat in Seattle. She is constantly looking for new hobbies.

  • Sarah Orr

    Outreach Assistant

    Sarah has worked at Little Red School House since September, 2006. She has worked in many capacities at Little Red, including as the current outreach assistant, an assistant teacher and administrative assistant in the office. She has worked with children for many years, including as an Assistant Director of childcare center, and as a teacher for all ages of children ranging from newborn to 12 years old. Currently Sarah is completing her degree focusing on Special Education, Social Work, and Social Services. Sarah is the mother of three foster kids, as well as her own two children. In her spare time, Sarah loves spending time with her children and family!

  • Rita Reitz, MS, CCC-SLP

    Speech Language Pathologist

    Rita completed her graduate training in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Washington in August, 2007 and has worked at the Little Red School House since then. She has post-graduate training in DIR/Floortime and PROMPT. Rita is the parent of three -teens/young adults. Previous work experiences include preschool para-educator, developmental preschool teacher, and elementary school substitute teacher. Rita continues to enjoy the challenge of learning Spanish as a second language.

  • Donna Y. Richardson

    Building Assistant

    Donna started as a cook at the Children's Village daycare in January, 2002. In July of 2006 she transferred to Little Red School House to assist with the daily building maintenance and upkeep, as well as help support the Parent/Child Play Groups as one of the key set-up personnel. Donna has been a fundamental support staff for all of the departments, always willing to help where ever she is needed. When she is not at Little Red, you can find her hiking at Cougar Mountain or walking around Green Lake.

  • Colleen Wartelle

    Development Director, Grants

    Colleen came to Little Red School in 1979 with an Education Degree and a major in Speech Pathology. During her years here she has functioned in many different roles. Colleen has functioned as an educator, a Speech Pathologist, Intake Coordinator and Program Manager. For the past 7 years, she has been working to further the mission of Little Red School House through collaborative partnerships with other community organizations and by writing grants to support the services we provide.

  • Ruth Williams, BS

    Educator, Team Lead

    Ruth Williams attended The University of Utah where she majored in special education with a focus on behavioral and emotional disorders and minored in early childhood education. She received her teaching credential and 5th year certificate in June of 1981. She worked in a vocational workshop for disabled adults in Reno in 1982 and began teaching in the Washoe County School District as a special education teacher. She taught for two years in a self-contained middle school classroom and then moved to an elementary position, teaching a self-contained classroom for first and second graders with emotional and behavior disorders. In September of 1985, Ruth began working at Little Red School House. In September 2007, she began training to become a certified parent coach, a one-year graduate level course done through The Parent Coaching Institute and Seattle Pacific University. She received that certification in November 2008 and finds that it is very applicable to the work with families at Little Red School House.

  • Annel Zuniga-Tablada, BA

    Team Family Resource Coordinator

    Annel has worked at Little Red School House as an Intake Specialist since August, 2007. Previous work experiences include Elementary teacher, Early Childhood Educational Assistant, and a Medical and Social Services Interpreter in Spanish. Annel holds a BA degree in Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences with a focus on Society, Ethics and Human Behavior the University of Washington. She has taken continuing education classes on Family Support and Case Management. Annel enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her husband and daughters.
